Violinists
Amy studied at Chetham's music school and Birmingham University, where she often performed as recitalist and concerto soloist. She led the Chamberlain String Quartet, whose engagements included performing for HR Elizabeth II. She has also led many orchestras including the National Children’s Chamber Orchestra, Chetham’s Chamber Orchestra and the University of Birmingham Symphony Orchestra. Now she lives in Warwickshire, working as a freelance musician and also teaching violin and piano. Amy plays and sings with the New English Orchestra, both in the UK and abroad, notably at the annual Salzburg International Music Festival. Amy also coordinates the music for various Christian events.
Erica graduated from the Birmingham Conservatoire of Music and continues to study under the violin virtuoso, Ken Aiso. She began playing the violin at the age of seven, participating in orchestras, string quartets and a number of notable rock bands, most recently UK band, The Wonder Stuff.
Paloma has played to a wide range of audiences including the King and Queen of Spain and recently recorded a live album in front of 30,000 people which received the Spanish music award for the Best Folk Album 2005. In 2002 she took up a full scholarship at Birmingham Conservatoire where she continued her studies with Professor Jaqueline Ross (Julliard School), and Nathaniel Vallois. She participated in masterclasses held by the Allegri, Vogler and Maggini String Quartets as well as receiving masterclasses from Chris Rowland (Head of Chamber Music Manchester) and Mark Messanger (Royal College of Music). In 2005 Paloma gained a place at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama with a scholarship where she completed a Masters Degree in Performance. Paloma has appeared on recordings by The Cheiftains, The Rolling Stones and Rodrigo Romani amongst others.
Salene has vast experience playing all styles and performs on Electric and Acoustic Violins. She has performed internationally for large corporate events, conferences, Christmas Parties and Valentine Dinners. Salene has performed at The Dorchester London and at the ICC Birmingham. She played for East Midlands Airport’s 40th Anniversary and played at Blackpool Tower for the Illuminations VIP party in Sept 2006.
Stella studied at Birmingham Conservatoire and after winning the Weingarten scholarship, furthered her studies at the Liszt Academy in Budapest. She won first prize in the Chandos Young Musician and Birmingham Conservatoire String Competitions. She has also received awards from the Royal Philharmonic Society, Paulo Trust and the EMI Music Sound Foundation. Recently Stella has played as a soloist with the Chandos, Warwickshire and Birmingham Conservatoire Orchestras. She has performed recitals across the U.S., Asia and Europe at venues such as Wigmore Hall and Duke’s Hall. She is no.3 first violin in the Northern Ballet Orchestra and also performs with orchestras such as the BBC Philharmonic and the Welsh National Opera.
